  • 12 cuts, 5 transcript fixes and karaoke captions in a single apply_edits call
  • No leftover word slivers after the cuts
  • “2026” spelled right in the captions
  • From 15 calls and 66 s in 0.3.0 to 9 calls and 44 s

Left open, and Claude said so

  • “144” (a mishearing of “yüzde kırk”, forty percent) stayed in the captions
  • The filler “Ihıh,” was not caught; the finder learned it in the next round
  • Claude said it had not checked the captions against the face

Recorded October 2, 2026 with frameword 0.4.0, Claude Code 2.1.285, Opus 5.5, on synthetic test footage. Calls shortened for display.

How it works

Three steps. Then you just ask.

  1. Import your video.

frameword transcribes it on your Mac with word timings (Whisper Large v3, the most accurate option for Turkish) and finds scenes and loudness.

  2. Connect Claude.

Click Connect Automatically once: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex and Antigravity are set up for you. Or skip it and type in the app's Claude panel (⌘K).

  3. Ask for the edit.

“Cut the ums and long pauses, add karaoke captions, make it vertical for Reels.” Each request is one undo step. Export HEVC, H.264 or ProRes at −14 LUFS.

What it does

A real editor under the prompts.

Effects that follow the words

Pin a counter to “fifty percent”, a name tag to the speaker's first word, a whoosh to a cut. Each effect is anchored to its word and moves with it through every later cut.

23 components, 8 Lottie templates

Lower thirds, kinetic words, counters, callouts, punch-ins, picture-in-picture, background blur, spotlight and seven transitions, drawn on the GPU in 10-bit. Claude fills checked parameters; a wrong value never reaches your timeline.

When nothing fits, Claude writes the animation

HTML and CSS, GSAP, three.js, d3 or Lottie, run offline on a virtual clock, so the preview and the export show the same pixels. Each attempt renders test frames and hands console errors back to Claude. Keep the good ones in My Animations.

A whole video from a sentence

No footage? Ask for a 20-second vertical promo. Claude writes the script, your Mac's voices read it, animated scenes land on the spoken words, built-in music and sound effects fill the rest, and the music ducks under the voice.

Vertical in one request

Turn a 16:9 talk into 9:16, 4:5 or 1:1. The crop follows the speaker and keeps the whole head in frame; captions stay clear of the platform buttons.

Captions, subtitles, chapters, speakers

Burned-in captions in six styles, karaoke included. SRT and WebVTT files, a YouTube chapter list checked against YouTube's rules, speaker labels for interviews. Fix a misheard word once and every caption picks it up.

Select anything on screen

Blur the background, pixelate a license plate, put text behind the speaker, or make an arrow follow a moving object. Apple Vision handles people out of the box. SAM 3.1 and EdgeTAM add object search by name and tracking as optional downloads.

Export that's ready to upload

HEVC 10-bit, H.264 or ProRes through Apple's hardware encoders. Loudness at −14 LUFS with a true-peak limiter. Change one word and re-export in about a second: only the changed segments are encoded again.

On-device

Your footage stays on your Mac.

Transcription, masks, rendering and export run locally. There's no frameword account, no frameword server and no telemetry. Claude works through your own Claude Code, Claude Desktop or API key: it receives the transcript text and the project's structure, not your video files. Sending preview frames to Claude stays off until you turn it on.

Built for Claude

Connect the Claude you already use.

frameword runs an MCP server inside the app. Open Connect Claude and click Connect Automatically: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex and Antigravity are set up in one go, with no Node.js and no terminal. Rather do it by hand? The same panel shows the command and the JSON below with your key filled in.

  1. Open Frameword → Connect Claude
  2. Click Connect Automatically. That's it: Claude Code sees frameword in every project
  3. Or by hand: copy the line (your key is already in it) and paste it into a terminal
  4. Ask: “Cut the ums and long pauses, add karaoke captions.”
Terminal
claude mcp add frameword --scope user \
  -e FRAMEWORD_MCP_TOKEN=‹token› \
  -e FRAMEWORD_MCP_PORT=47823 \
  -- /Applications/Frameword.app/Contents/Helpers/frameword-mcp

‹token›: your key, from Connect Claude in the app. The default port is 47823; Connect Claude shows yours if you changed it.

  • The skill is optional: every connected Claude reads the same guide from the app.
  • Claude usage is billed to your Claude plan or API account. frameword has no Claude login of its own.
  • 68 MCP tools · every call is one undo step · bad parameters are refused before they touch the timeline.

Questions

In case you’re wondering.

Is frameword free?

The app costs nothing. Claude usage is billed to your own Claude plan or API account.

Is my video uploaded anywhere?

No. Video, audio, transcription and renders stay on your Mac. Claude receives transcript text and project structure through your own Claude client. Preview frames go only if you turn that on.

Which Claude do I need?

Claude Code, Claude Desktop or any MCP client can connect; Connect Automatically sets up Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex and Antigravity in one click. Inside the app you can use your own Claude Code or an Anthropic API key. In-app Claude Code runs are billed at Anthropic's headless rates under their current policy.

Does it work in Turkish?

Yes, Turkish is a first-class language: Whisper Large v3 for transcription, number and filler search that understands Turkish, correct İ/ı casing, Turkish number formats and a Turkish interface. English works the same way.

Why macOS 26 and Apple Silicon only?

frameword is native Swift built on Metal, VideoToolbox, Apple Vision and MLX, and it uses system features that arrived with macOS 26.

Why does macOS warn me when I open it?

The build isn't notarized yet. Check the SHA-256 on this page, then use Open Anyway in System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security.

Can I undo what Claude did?

Every Claude action is one undo step, and in-app requests have “Undo All of This”. Claude also can't overwrite edits you made in the meantime: its call fails and it re-reads the project.

Can Claude see my video?

Only if you allow frame sending. Otherwise it places text using face positions and overlap warnings, and tells you it didn't look.

Do I need the skill or the plugin?

No. Every connected Claude gets the same guide from the app. The skill adds helper scripts for writing animation packages; the plugin also sets up the connection.

Does it need an internet connection?

Only to download models and to talk to Claude. Transcription, rendering and export work offline.
